Processing Power

You're trapped in a computer. Try to get out!

Processing Power was always a dodgy project. It was a great idea - we just screwed up the execution. The idea came to be for myself and a close friend of mine, Chris, in a Comp Sci taster lesson - we designed a game around three prompts - it was goal based, you couldn't touch the floor and you were inside a computer. And thus, the idea of procesing power was born. A level based platformer where you couldn't touch the circuit board floor - you had an "electron gun" based off of the electron gun of a CRT display - it could create blocks that could hold only objects, or blocks that could hold only the player.

Like I said, great design. However, we came up with this idea in early 2018, when we were entering high school. None of us were competent at game development, and we naivelly believed we could develop the game quickly and well, and it would be successful. The project was officially killed in 2019, when we looked over all the work we'd done and realised that - no. No we could not do that.

Processing Power's code is not available, simply because it's an embarassment - however, I have released (for the first time) a build of the game, that you can download
